We are privileged to have you here. We know applications can be both time consuming and frustrating so we truly appreciate you taking the time to tell us your story.

The following application is solely for our Yellow Project, an emergency rental assistance program.

Online application

Fill out our online application and attach all applicable documents. Documentation will help the application process move more swiftly. Contact info@glocalhousing.org if you have any issues with filling out the application.

Interview

If we feel that you are a good fit for our program and you have attached all required documents, we will schedule a phone interview.

Background Check

If we move forward after your phone interview, we will send you a link to request a background check for all individuals in the household, ages 18 and over. Bankruptcy and criminal charges will not necessarily remove you as an applicant but we ask for full disclosure in the interview process.

Determination

After the interview process and background checks, we will make our final determination. Please know that we can make no guarantees or promises in assistance. If we are unable to assist, it may simply be due to limited funding. If that is the case, you would be welcome to reapply in 60 days.

Before you begin, please take a moment to view our prescreening checklist to make sure you qualify. In order to receive assistance, we ask that you:

  • Are currently renting or have signed a lease to a rental unit

  • Are living in Gallatin County or moving to Gallatin County for work

  • Participate in the Supportive Community Initiative

  • Be willing to take a financial course if applicable

  • Participate in a background check

  • Have proof of income from employment, disability, or retirement

  • Provide reasonable cause for unemployment if applicable

  • Attach the past 2 months of bank statements for all bank accounts

 

 After reviewing your application, we may request further documentation. 

While we are keeping our application process open, we have seen a high influx due to the closing of MERA. Please keep in mind that we may not be able to assist at this time due to limited funding. You will be contacted within 7 days no matter the outcome.
